Bootcamp Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be fit to join your Bootcamp?

No, that's why you’re coming to see us. There are all different ranges of fitness levels, at the end of the day you’re competing against yourself. It's good to have a mixture of people & fitness levels, so you can aspire to the next level and push yourself that little bit harder.

We have a basic fitness test approximately every 6 weeks so you have a measurable baseline to improve on, so make sure you chat with your trainer to find our when your next fitness test day is.

Remember our Bootcamps are about hard, fun, fitness, it's not a race or competition - it's about you challenging yourself.

How long does the Bootcamp course & sessions run for?

Harbourside offers unlimited access to both Bootcamp and our entire Harbourside group fitness timetable, most sessions are 1 hour in length (45 mins at Lunch time).

  • IMPORTANT NOTES: All clients need to pick up COTTON INSERT gloves to be worn on all boxing sessions, these are FREE please see your trainer or pick from Harbourside studio at North Sydney preventing injuries and ensuring safe and hygienic use of equipment.
  • Sessions are not held on Public Holidays, and we have a short break each year from Xmas to the 2nd week of January 
  • Try to be 5 mins early to squads as we start Bootcamp on time every time. If you need to leave early, make sure you stretch.

What results can I expect to see?

You can expect to see significant improvements in your cardiovascular fitness, your energy and endurance levels will increase, you will tone up and get stronger, lose weight and meet new fitness friends and have a great time. Trainers will do everything to help you achieve results; we can guarantee you a new energy in your day, life and family.

What do the Bootcamp sessions consist of?

An ever-changing variety of exercises that are based around functional movements which will make everyday activities a whole lot easier; you will look & feel fantastic:

  • Walking and jogging
  • Sprint activities
  • Improved cardio training
  • Body weight exercises
  • Resistance bands & some weights
  • Team-building drills & skills
  • Boxing technique & cardio boxing
  • Core Strength
  • Abs, Butts & Thighs
  • Muscular endurance & toning

We will also introduce new equipment to keep the workouts challenging and fresh.

What other services does Harbourside Fitness offer?

We have a equipped studio at the foot of Neutral Bay & North Sydney (2/66 Clark Rd, opp Anderson Park)

We have a range of mixed fitness classes offering “Fitness for the Whole Family”, so don’t forget to consider our “Unlimited Classes" option.

Our UNLIMITED CLASSES option means you can do as many sessions as you want each week and maximise the value by doing as many different sessions as possible at different locations.

What if I miss a week or have a holiday period?

If you know you are going to be away, you will need to contact us  days before. 

What do you do if it rains?

Each Bootcamp course has a rain option; please check with your trainer for more info -  sessions are held rain, hail or shine.

What do you I need to bring each session?

Bring a towel, water, sunscreen & a smile. 

Can I bring a friend?

YES! We always offer a FREE TRIAL to all NEW clients; we are not sales people we are fitness trainers - our sales pitch is THE EXPERIENCE of a session and our culture. If bootcamp is too much we do offer One on One Personal Training.

How do I enlist, pay, etc?

Please register your details online once you have registered you will be able to download our enlistment and direct debit forms, please complete these and email them back to us (the details are on the forms) - one of our experienced trainers will then contact you to complete your registration.
